Wedding photography FAQ – Answered! If you can’t find what you are looking for here, please don’t be afraid to ask! Shoot me through an email, I’ll be more than happy to help you out!
Let’s get in to it!
How much are your packages?
How do we book your services?
Once you have decided which package best suits you, a $500 non refundable deposit is required to secure your booking and date.
When will I get my photos?
Sneak peeks will go up on social media within a couple of days of your wedding. Your collection will be ready 4 – 6 weeks from your wedding date.
Do you edit our photos?
Yes! All of your images are professionally edited. I do standard processing on all images, which includes exposure, cropping, colour correction, contrast etc. I include light skin retouching on closely cropped portraits if required, but try not to do too much image manipulation. If you require further editing please contact me to discuss.
What equipment do you use?
I shoot with Canon professional grade equipment.
How long have you been a photographer?
I have been a Sunshine Coast photographer for around 7 years. I decided to study photography when my first son was born. I originally didn’t want to shoot weddings but it wasn’t long before the allure of that big day got me and I was second shooting every chance I got. The following year I started taking on my own wedding bookings and the rest is history!
What is your style of photography?
I think that my style is creative and romantic. I’m not a hipster, but I’m not traditional either! I like to think that I bring to my work the best of both worlds. You receive artistic and beautiful images that won’t date.
I have a journalistic approach to documenting weddings. I am very relaxed and like to keep it authentic. Which means I shoot everything as it is really happening and I try to be as unobtrusive as possible. I will never interfere in any way during your ceremony and enjoy instead capturing the real moments that are unfolding before us all. I do love to create romantic portraits however and will certainly offer assistance in posing etc if required while we are on location!
Will you travel for weddings?
Yes! I am a destination wedding photographer and love travelling for weddings. Whether the wedding is in Byron Bay or Japan, I would love to tag along! Please feel free to head over to my Destination Weddings page for further information!
If you are planning a destination wedding and don’t know where to start, I can highly recommend the good people over at Wedding Destinations. Check them out!
Why do wedding photographers cost so much?
One of the first questions people ask themselves when they get engaged is why are wedding photographers so expensive? I promise you that the rumours are not true, we do not hike up our prices the minute we hear the word “wedding”. Boy have I seen that a lot in on-line forums over the years! Come on guys, we’re really not that nasty!
I devoted an entire blog post to this topic. Check it out – Read me!
What happens if you can’t attend our wedding?
To date I have not missed a single wedding. You just don’t cancel on a persons wedding day!
In an extreme case where I could not make it to your wedding due to a death or natural disaster, I would give you the option of a refund or a replacement photographer (of the same level and expertise)
What happens if it rains?
I LOVE a rainy wedding! Now days a rainy wedding does not equate to a disaster. If those clouds move in, then we get out there and we dance! In the case of extreme weather, where no portraits can be taken and no suitable alternative locations can be found then a 1 hour re-shoot can be scheduled for a later date free of charge.
